After her dance education in European Dance Development Center in the Netherlands she made as director/choreographer several absurd but not abstract dance pieces where she was interested in creating the story and the content of the movements.
In 1995 she joined the internationally well known Dutch theatre group, Dogtroep.
Her role in the artistic process: acting, making, building, script writing, directing and a lot more.
As a member of the artistic core group, co responsible for the artistic policy of the company and for HR.
As a freelancer she directs, choreographs, gives workshops and coaches young dance and theatre makers in their making process.
After many years of creating large scale visual outdoor spectacles with a big team, Csilla started a collaboration with theatre maker Vincent de Rooij for creating very diverse short (10 min) small scale visual performances often from very different starting point.
They like to tell stories, not in words but in images. Humorous, absurd, poetic, dramatic and electric. With the same form but very different stories, they made : Crash, Fly, Track and Vioollusion, performances based on live video application. Boat and Look were made from a completely different starting point.
They work with many different materials, techniques and disciplines, inside and outside the theatre. Their favourite materials and tools are: refrigerators, excavators, rubber bands, actors, dancers, brass band, body parts, duck tape, iron wire, musicians, latex, small plastic football shoes, paper clips, home trainer, welder, compressor, hammer, water with glitter, wood, steel, sand, saw, air-plane, mirror, video camera, etc.
